let's talk about PURPOSE: what has god created you to do?
PURPOSE OVER POSITION
Purpose Over Position is more than a ministry phrase, a set of buzzwords, or a passing trend.
It is a declaratory statement of Truth, Identity, Assignment, and Service for the Believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
It is a charge to seek, discover, pursue, and live out the reason God created you and what He has purposed you to do—work that glorifies God, serves others, and contributes to the building up of His Kingdom.
Your God-Created Purpose was never meant to exist in isolation.
What God created YOU to do is connected to a need someone else has. Your willingness and obedience to live in and live out your purpose can serve, encourage, equip, strengthen, or help someone else move forward in what God created them to do.
That is part of the power of PURPOSE: God can use what He placed in you to meet a need in someone else.
If you are uncertain, unsure, or simply do not know your God-Created Purpose, Angel Grace Ministries (AGM) encourages you to start with God. Seek Him. Ask Him. Pray. Develop and deepen your relationship with Him. Return to Him as often as necessary.
After all, God is the One who created you. He knows why He created you, what He placed within you, and what He has purposed you to do.
If you are a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, there is also a possibility that you have already experienced glimpses of your God-Created Purpose without fully recognizing them as such. You may know that there is something you are supposed to do, yet still lack clarity. You may have continuously pondered the question, “What is my purpose?” You may have confused position with purpose, assumed that purpose is simply “what I love to do” or “what I am good at,” or dismissed the question altogether because the answer did not seem clear.
You may also be a Believer who already knows your God-Created Purpose but, for one reason or another, is not currently living in and living out that purpose in this season of your life.
Or perhaps you know your God-Created Purpose, but you need encouragement, direction, renewed focus, or the reminder that your present position does not determine whether your purpose still matters.
Wherever you find yourself, remember this:
God intentionally and uniquely created YOU. Your life has purpose, and what God created you to do matters.
Your God-Created Purpose provides opportunities to glorify Him, serve others, and build up the Kingdom of God. And that work is not confined to a pulpit, a ministry title, or the physical walls of a church.
Purpose is lived out wherever God has positioned His people to serve.
- In churches
- In businesses
- In classrooms
- In hospitals
- In boardrooms
- In communities
- In sports
- In government
- In creative spaces
- In everyday conversations
- And in countless other places where there is a need to be met and someone to be served.
There is room—and a need—for every Believer to faithfully live in and live out their God-Created Purpose.
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9: 37-38 NIV
let's talk about mental health, IDENTITY & PURPOSE

This is ENCOURAGEMENT and TRUTH from the perspective of Identity, Purpose and Alignment with God.
There are people carrying feelings of depression, anxiety, hopelessness, loneliness, rejection, low self-worth, emotional instability, and even thoughts of suicide because life's circumstances convinced them they have no value, no direction, no purpose, or no place where they truly belong.
And many times, the root issue is "IDENTITY".
When IDENTITY becomes attached to temporary things, emotions begin to rise and fall with those things. Let's call it the "Roller Coaster" syndrome.
If IDENTITY is rooted in:
- Accomplishments
- Money
- Relationships
- Attention
- Validation
- Opinions of others
- Approval from people
- Substances
- Addictions
- Status or position
...then emotional stability becomes fragile because all of those things are temporary.
They can ALL change overnight, and when the Identity attached to those things is shaken, people begin questioning:
- "Do I matter?"
- What is my purpose?"
- Why am I here?"
This is a dangerous "Roller Coaster" ride because the roots are surface level - not firmly planted. So whenever the wind blows, whatever the emotional spectrum is, whatever the day's momentum is, whatever the social trend is, and whatever the desires and lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life are, whether you receive it or not, so goes the way of the daily Roller Coaster ride.
God never intended for your Worth and Identity to be rooted in temporary things.
Your Worth comes from Him.
Your Identity comes from Him.
Your Purpose comes form Him.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
LET'S TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH, IDENTITY & PURPOSE (CONt.)
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
A $2 item not working creates disappointment.
A $200,000 item not functioning properly creates an even greater response because of the value attached to it.
Why?
Because PURPOSE & FUNCTION matter.
When someone is disconnected from their God-Created PURPOSE, Identity becomes distorted. They being to find meaning in temporary things that were never designed to sustain them emotionally, mentally, or spiritually.
But, when you begin WALKING in the PURPOSE God Created YOU for, EVERYTHING changes.
- You stop searching for acceptance because God Already Accepted YOU.
- You stop depending completely on the opinions of people because Your Value is Rooted in God.
Walking in Purpose doesn't mean difficult emotions will never come. Because they do. But it does mean your FOUNDATION is no longer built on temporary things.
And when your FOUNDATION is ROOTED in God and ALIGNED with His PURPOSE, hopelessness, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, low confidence, and other symptoms you may experience, no longer have the same entry point it may have once had, because your life now carries meaning, direction, assignment, and value beyond circumstances.
God has already met YOUR NEED for
- Love
- Acceptance
- Validation
- Identity
- Worth
- Purpose
The QUESTION now becomes: Will YOU seek those things from God, or will YOU seek those things in temporary places.
YOUR LIFE MATTERS. You were Created Intentionally.
YOUR God-Created PURPOSE carries Value, Meaning, and Impact far beyond what you currently see.
